There isn't really any gore! Even in the manga. There's moments of blood spattering*, and people occasionally have blood on them** but nothing particularly gruesome. Basically if this icon is ok for you the anime/manga should be fine for you.

Vols I and II are out in english, so borders probably has it somewhere which I only mention for two reasons:
a) the first ten chapters' scanlations are, um... not of high quality. After that a new scanlator picks up and they're great but the early stuff is hardish to get through otherwise.
b) The publisher is sending C&Ds to hosting sites, so it just went down from mangatoshokan for example.
