Stats and Permissions
May. 21st, 2010 07:06 pmAge: ???? Grim Reaper mystery!!! She would no doubt claim to be 25, not a year older.
Height: She's pretty tall, around the same height as Sebastian. Six foot something or other? Admittedly this is in like four/five inch heels.
Weight: ...cute and lovely!!!
Medical Info: Grelle is pretty much invincible minus getting stabbed by her own death scythe. This did come up as a plot point. That doesn't mean you can't beat the crap out of her though so idk what even would show up medically. Not human, and never has been human, but grim reaper biology appears outwardly identical to human (down to a need for sleep and so on)*. DOCTORS FEEL FREE TO MAKE YOUR OWN JUDGMENTS. Also: Fairly obviously biologically male.
Eyes: Yellow
Hair: Bright blood red~.
Physical traits: Uhhh let's see, yellow inhuman eyes, rows of sharp teeth way too large for a normal human mouth? Other than that she's a very pretty, if lanky and lean, individual -- however, she still very obviously reads biologically male in the line of her body, shape of her face, etc. She doesn't tend to try to pad or otherwise attempt to pass as biologically female, but is wearing makeup (fake eyelashes, probably lip gloss and blush, nail polish).
What's Okay To Mention Around Her: Anything, really. If she finds out she's fictional Grelle'll probably just use it to troll harder.
Abilities: Disguise powers! As well, she has a "Death Scythe" (in the form of a chainsaw) capable of cutting through anything and, if delivering a mortal blow to anyone (including demons), it causes both the subject and anyone in the vicinity to watch the important events of their lives. This ability, "Cinematic Record", is the cause of the "life flashing before your eyes" syndrome -- the grim reaper is supposed to use it to judge whether the individual is such a rare and amazing human being that they should miraculously escape death. Other than that she appears to be able to fly, and is very strong in battle, able to go neck to neck with a powerful demon. So long as she has her Death Scythe, anyway.
Notes for the Psychics/Magically or Spiritually sensitive: UH GRIM REAPER. Also extremely high functioning but kiiiinda crazy. LIVES TO KILL, LOVES HER JOB, and rarely obeys any rule she's expected to abide by.
Can I shapeshift/bodyswap/spit at/step on/etc?: Sure, just talk to me first.
Hugging/kissing/other non-violent physical contact: ~~~~ Iyaaaan~~~ Yes please~~~~ ♥.
Maim/Murder/Death: Maiming, sure. She'll get better, and beating Grelle up is a fun hobby -- but note she IS a very strong combatant. Death... talk to me, but basically a grim reaper can theoretically only die if someone uses their own Death Scythe against them, as their ability to recover from damage is potentially countered by their scythe's ability to cut through anything.
Cooking: ...Hypothetically she's ABLE to. I mean, she considers it a valuable life skill for when she becomes a lovely housewife. And she claims the only butler skill she never mastered was making a cup of tea that didn't suck. But really, do you want to eat Grelle's cooking? Is that safe? Are you sure she isn't going to be like "oh I got poison and vanilla confused again"? I'm just saying.
Other:
* CANON IS NOT 100% CLEAR WHAT BEING A GRIM REAPER ENTAILS. What we know is:
- They aren't prey for demons and are outside of the human damnation/salvation scale, which implies to me that they don't have souls (at least, not human-like souls and not souls which are of any interest to demons). This may simply be because there's no part of them that would survive after death as they are more or less unkillable.
- Although they can be damaged, they presumably have strong healing skills. In the manga, at least, we haven't seen Grelle since Sebastian beat the shit out of her face, but we know Sebastian and Will fought and Will looks normal the next day. (And in the anime the next time Grelle shows up she looks fine.) We also know that hypothetically they can't be killed, but that they probably don't want to test this theory with their own death scythe.
- Presumably they're born through a normal reproductive means as a) Grelle mentions "since I was born and b) Grelle wants to bear Sebastian's children :( This implies some kind of ageing system? But idk canon hasn't said. It might all be very hypothetical/metaphorical.
- Grim Reapers need to sleep like humans do.
- Grim Reapers may or may not have 100% human features (Grelle's teeth appear to have grown that way, but Will doesn't seem to have the same; Will and Grelle both have yellow eyes)
- I believe they can flyyyyy. I believe they can touch the skyyyyy.

Gender, sex, and sexuality

I was trying to get usernames (as "chainsawmascara" was sadly taken) by reading the Jack the Ripper section of wikipedia , and came across this:
"What the Swedish Butler Saw (1975), in which Jack the Ripper hides in a photographic studio, is little more than softcore pornography."
It references butlers, it's porno, it has Jack the Ripper, and I can make a chainsaw joke with the saw... OKAY, I'M SOLD.

CAN I KILL YOU (with a twist)
May. 21st, 2010 07:14 pmWell, as is pretty apparent, Grelle KIND OF LIKES KILLING PEOPLE even if you're not on the death record; it's sort of a hobby. She's not, you know, uncontrolled -- she just enjoys it. Her hand will be somewhat stayed as Will will bring the book down on her for rule violations if she gets caught, but hey, it's something she does so I'm putting up a post entirely for those who might WANT to get killed by Grelle.
Because here's the thing: when Grim Reapers kill people with their death scythes, they and everyone in the vicinity* get to watch that person's "Cinematic Record" -- or, the important details of those people's lives flashing in front of their eyes.
Given that death isn't permanent here and I know a lot of people WANT their characters' backstories to come out, only the character'd never actually say it, I wanted to offer one way of doing it.
o/ Anyway this is basically just a "kill me sometime" list, haha~.
* Hypothetically not everyone? It's hard to say? Like, Sebastian comments on it when Grelle slashes him, and Grelle explains it, which means Sebastian notices what's happening aside from the flashbacks; and Ciel SEEMS to understand Madam Red's motivations after hers plays, and to understand what's going on... but it's a bit of a questionmark. BUT WTF EVER THIS IS CAMP anyone nearby can see it, so shall it be.
